I began my career after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in communications. From there I moved to Boston where I went into the film industry, and later into graphic design. Both fields provided me with an outlet for creativity, but it wasn't until I discovered software design that I found my true calling.
At that point I went back to school and earned a Masters degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, with a concentration in Technology in Education. There I focused on the design of educational software, including how to integrate technology into the classroom.
After graduation I worked for five years at Learningways, Inc. in Cambridge, MA as their senior designer of curriculum-based educational software. Since then I've been running LJ Design, applying my skills and talent to a host of educational and commercial software projects, with responsibilities ranging from concept development through authoring. In my free time I enjoy singing, volunteering, and laughing with my husband Dave and our son Ben, the rapper and the king.
